By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. An information platform, not a service provider

Security Services Finder is an information directory. We do not sell, install, monitor or maintain security equipment, and we are not an agent for any listed business. Any arrangement you make with a listed business is solely between you and that business. We do not endorse, guarantee or take responsibility for the quality, pricing, licensing status or conduct of any listed business.

2. Accuracy of information

Listings are compiled from public registers and business-supplied information and may be incomplete or out of date. Licences can be suspended, cancelled or expire after we check them. Before engaging a provider, confirm their licence with the relevant state or territory regulator and their ABN on the Australian Business Register. Guides and cost estimates on this site are general information only and are not professional advice.

3. Featured listings and advertising

Some listings may be labelled "Featured" and some areas of the site may display advertising. A featured position or advertisement is not a recommendation or an indication of quality.

4. Prohibited use

You must not:

  • scrape, crawl, harvest or copy listings or contact details by automated means, except search engine indexing that respects our robots.txt;
  • use contact details from this site to send unsolicited commercial messages (spam) or for any purpose that breaches the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) or the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth);
  • compile, resell or republish the directory or any substantial part of it;
  • use listed information to harass, defraud, impersonate or harm any person or business;
  • submit false information when claiming or updating a listing, or claim a listing you are not authorised to manage; or
  • interfere with the site's operation or security.

We may block access and take other action if we believe these terms have been breached.

5. Claiming and updating listings

Listings are currently free. When you claim a listing you confirm that you are authorised to act for the business and that the information you give us is accurate. We may verify claims and may decline or remove content at our discretion.

6. Intellectual property

The site design, text, guides and the compilation of the directory are protected by copyright. Business names and trade marks belong to their respective owners.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or your dealings with any listed business, and the site is provided "as is".

8. Links to other websites

We link to business websites and government registers. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
